Circa 1914-1915 PTC #31 Rounding Board
Philadelphia Toboggan Co. carousel #31 had a long history. Starting at Lakeside Park, OH, then to Indian Lake Park, Russell’s Point, OH where it ran until 1979. Marianne Stevens purchased the carousel and it was in storage until sold to Bud Hurlbut for his Castle Park in 1990. Instead it went to auction later that year with the figures sold off. Parts of the carousel would go to Rochester, NY after PTC #36 was destroyed by fire. 40 new horses were carved by Ed Roth and two by George Long along with 4 originals from #36 now populate the refurbished PTC #31 mechanism. On old/original paint. Ceramic light sockets on arch over picture and across the the entire width of the bottom. No plug. Original hard wiring.
