Circa 1925 M. C. Illions Jumper – SOLD

Second row jumper from the carousel that operated at Chesapeake Beach. You can see the matured carving style of Marcus Illions in this jumper. In 1926, Illions would next carve his three Illions Supremes. The current owner purchased from Marianne Stevens in 1999. Beautifully restored by John Hughes, (wood) and Lise Liepman, (paint) in 2000. With jewels, gold leaf mane and fringe, and horse hair tail. With stand and brass.
