Description
Ca. 1905 Gustav Dentzel Stander
“Large outer row standing carousel horse, made by Gustav Dentzel, circa 1905. With a beautiful, refined head and neck and full mane. This is certainly one of the prettiest figures ever carved. He has an eagle back saddle, and nicely carved layered trappings, with a tassel. An alert and intelligent looking animal, he originally had a hair tail. Restored. $18,000-$22,000.”
