In this early model, the coin inserts into a slot in the horse’s neck just in front of the saddle.

Circa 1952 Coin-Op Horse

This early horse and ride is much larger than the later metal and fiberglass “Sandy”, “Mustang”, and “Trigger” coin-op horses. This horse sits very high. Manufactured by Royal Engineering Co., Inglwood, CA in the late 1940s- early 1950s. Currently in the Bay area for possible pick-up.

CONDITION: Wood is solid all around and saddle is good. One rear leg was replaced at some point and needs finish carving. Ready for a full restoration. Barn find. Sold as is.

ABOVE - This fully restored wooden Royal Mustang brought just under $10,000 at an RM Auction in 2013.
